For everyone who has played the original Doom, or owns a powerful PC and loves the graphics, this is good news. For everyone
else, you could probably care less. Oh and by the way, on G4Tech TV's: Pulse, an employee from ID said that they are now focusing
their efforts on a new franchise for the company.
X-Men:Reload-Report Card
Since my first
column,I've shown my excitement for this event. Now, two months later, I share my opinions about the comics that I picked up and
are apart of this event.
Mystique- With great art, dialogue, and plot this comic is looking good. However, it feels like it is
missing something. B
X-Men-Do I need to bring this up?! Chuck Austin+X-Men=Bad Comic! Thank goodness he's leaving after 164.
F
Excalibur-Well, I had high hopes for this. It had a great premise, along with some good art. However,
Chris Claremont just dissapoints with some horrible dialogue and a bad plot. He tries to bring Magneto back
from the dead successfully-he failed. I'm dropping the comic at issue 4. F
Uncanny X-Men- I thought that I was going to hate this comic. Claremont, on the other hand, has delivered
an excellent comic with great art by Alan Davis. However, the series is hit-miss and the X-Men wear ugly costumes. C+
Astonishing X-Men- This comic was supposed to be the best of the Reload event. However, there is
something missing here. I mean, the art is great, and there are some interesting ideas. Maybe Grant Morrison's first X-Men
arc is overshadowing Whedon's. Oh well. B
The Verdict-Overall,the X-Men:Reload is not great, but then again, it's not bad. C
See ya later!
