Here are some tips and tricks that you can use in The Sims:

 

-When you first begin to play The Sims, you will want to have your character learn as many different attributes like: cooking, mechanical, and charisma, before you get a job.

 

-If you're sim is not feeling well, have them take a day off. But let's say you're playing the game in Play the Sims mode, just evict your sim and move them back into their own home. They'll have a great mood with most of their green bars full. These tricks can be used for stat building as well.

 

-When building a relationship with another sim, new actions will be available the closer you are to them. However, some of the actions, when you used around the 20-49 stage of the relationship, could put you a few steps backwards. Save actions like:compliment, flirt, and brag, for later until around the 50 point area of your relationship with another sim.
