Debate! 1-Greatest Computer Game of All Time

Topic: What's the best computer game of all time...

alexross422003-Personally, I don't play many video games on the computer and I'm more of a console gamer. With only a limited experience in computer gaming, I must tip my hat to Freedom Force. Freedom Force manages to be the finest game featuring superheroes that I have ever played. It features the usual mod community and multiplayer features that other games have, but it is special for one reason, it manages to have story with that Kirby-esque style of the Silver Age of comic books. Along with a typical storyline similar of the first Marvel comic books, it features a great character customization system, great controls, and destructible environments. I've played quite a few games in my life, but Freedom Force is one of my favorite games that I have played.

kingjoash-I've never played Freedom Force, so I can't argue against or support what alexross said.  Personally, I like more the type of game where you build civilizations....and armies....and "conquer the world".  Of this type of computer game, I would say the best one I've played is Age of Empires II.  It has good graphics, good combat sequences, and a lot of replayability.

alexross422003-I only have the demo for Age of Empires II,but the demo is AWESOME. The graphics and the audio may not have aged well, but none the less the game still is fun to play. Victory or defeat will depend on one thing:skill. If you can manage to protect your people with armies and walls, yet manage to have a strong economy, then you will do well. And let's not forget the multiplayer. You will need great communication if you want to succeed with your allies, unless you have none. Freedom Force is still great in my eyes, with it's great humor and is one of the greatest games I've ever played. The one game I think that kingjoash has forgotten:The Sims.
Now I've only spent a limited time with the PC version, and a loooooooong time with the console port, but this game is brilliant! You can do almost anything you want. Join the military, fall in love, be lazy....and lose everything you own, marry your love, go to the bathroom, and have children. For those of you who don't know what The Sims are like and are worried about seeing someone use the bathroom, no problem. The games uses proper censorship to ensure that you don't see things you don't need to see. And almost forget the large Sims fan-community, which produces hundreds of skins (people) for the Sims a day (not to mention those scrapbooks). Overall, the Sims may just be it.

kingjoash-I haven't played The Sims myself, but people I've talked to who have generally agree with alexross.  However, though it may be good, it is not my favorite type of game genre, so I still think AOE II is the best.
